In the 30 years we have owned our family farm we have not used chemical sprays on our forestland/farmland and we never will! We are an organic farm. We wish to keep our water chemical free too. If it makes it to our well, it’s IN the Siletz River. The Siletz river is a beautiful pristine scenic river, lets keep it that way for all of us and all generations to come (along with all Lincoln County’s beautiful rivers and waterways).
Good job to all the people who voted yes. It’s sad that not even 50% of Lincoln County voters turned out.
I, as veteran involved in the Vietnam War, know the downside of chemicals. Not all farmers and foresters favor aerial spraying. We believe it is toxic to all living things. If it is so safe why don’t they stir a teaspoon on their chemicals in a glass of water and drink it at a public forum?
