Ocean scientists tracking the rise in ocean acidification are ringing the alarm bell loudly and often these days. Scientists say that with ever-more copious amounts of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere, it’s raining down on the biggest greenhouse gas sink there is – the oceans. And it’s turning Earth’s oceans decidedly more acidic. It’s harmful to seashore plants and it’s now starting to affect the Pacific Northwest Salmon fishery.
