Slow go at the final lap of the legislature suggests an unavoidable Special Session.
As the days dwindle down for the Oregon Legislature, what many lawmakers figured would be passed by now are far from it – including transportation, schools and how to balance the state budget with a glaring PERS elephant in the doorway with a corporate excise tax getting a bumpy ride.
