When the last attempt was made by Washington and Oregon to mate elephants, aka build a new Columbia River Bridge, the only blessed event that came out of it was that nobody died. At least that we know of.
But in the “Here they come again” department, Washington’s legislature has passed another bill that invites Oregon back to the table to give a new bridge another go.
In the words of one Oregon lawmaker, “no chance.”
