The National Weather Service has upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Weather Advisory, which is in effect for the Coast Range and Willamette Valley from 6:00am Wednesday to midnight Wednesday night. A mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to begin around sunrise Wednesday and continue through Wednesday evening. Snow accumulations, 1-4 inches, higher amounts north of Eugene with lower amounts south of Eugene. Ice accumulations could reach one to two tenths of an inch, possibly as high as a quarter inch. Roads may become snow- or ice-covered and slick, causing difficult driving conditions. Ice accumulations could cause tree damage and power disruptions.
