The Pacific Communities Health (PCH) Foundation presents the 21st Annual Festival of Trees with a variety of events from December 8 to 11, at the Center for Health Education in Newport. Beautifully decorated trees, entertainment, visits with Santa, raffles and a live auction add to the festive environment.
This year, the Festival will raise funds to purchase emergency equipment at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital (SPCH). “If you have a heart attack, stroke or trauma, it is a fair distance to drive to the valley for care,” said Dr. Scott Grupas, Emergency Department medical director, “which makes our emergency department a vital part of this community.”
Special events are designed to appeal to all ages:
Newport Chamber of Commerce Business After-Hours —Thursday, Dec. 8, 5:15 to 7 p.m. Event is for Chamber members and their guests.
Gala and Auction — Saturday, Dec. 10, 5:30 to 10 p.m. By reservation only, this nearly sold-out event includes a buffet dinner prepared by Chef Ken Krenzler and live auction.
