Hello Chamber Members,
I would like to take a moment and introduce myself as your new Executive Director. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to be your Chamber Director and would also like to thank you for your membership.
My family and I have lived in Lincoln City for over 23 years. We love the community and have tried hard to make it better. My husband has coached multiple sports and is currently employed at Taft High School. My two daughters graduated from Taft and my son Gabe is currently a Junior at Taft High. He is a three sport athlete so you might have seen him in the paper a time or two. I am extremely proud of my children and are thankful that they were able to grow up in such a caring, tight-knit community.
I came to live in Lincoln City with a promotion from Maidenform at the Outlet Mall. My family and I packed up and moved from Boise Idaho to Lincoln City. My duties at Maidenform not only included Store Management, but Company Trainer then Area Manager. It wasn’t until the travel proved to be extremely taxing on my family that I went into the Insurance Business. I opened my Agency with American Family in 2009. That is when my time with the Chamber started. I credit much of my success to my involvement in the Chamber and know how difficult it is to run your own small business. I believe in the power of the Chamber and know that together we can make a difference. I have served several years on the Board of Directors including one year as President. I feel this gives me a unique perspective into all aspects of running the Chamber.
As your Executive Director I plan to work hard to support our local businesses and encourage everyone to do the same. We can all make a difference by choosing to shop local. I have a lot of ideas, but would love to hear yours, and my door is always open!
I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and hope to see you at Salishan for the Holiday Luncheon on December 9, 2016.
