It’s Pixie time again in Lincoln City! The North Lincoln County Historical Museum will be coaxing them back to life with the third annual Pixie Ornament Workshop for children. The workshop, presented in partnership with the Oregon Coast Children’s Theatre & Youth Art Center, is entirely free to children aged 6 to 12 years old. Pixie Ornament Workshops will be held at the museum on Thursday and Friday, December 3rd and 4th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Each child participant will receive an assembled pixie, including a clay pixie head and soft body dressed in felt, which they will transform with beads, jewels, feathers, and other ornamentation into a one-of-a-kind pixie. The created pixies will be named, given birth certificates and added to the list of known pixies residing in Lincoln City. All art supplies are provided. These unique ornaments can be hung on a Christmas tree or put in a special place in your home.
Space is limited to 15 children each day so you must call the museum in advance to reserve your child’s place at the workshop. An adult must accompany each child. Places at the workshop are available on a first to call basis, so call the museum soon to reserve your child’s spot: 541-996-6614.
The museum is located at 4907 SW HWY 101 in Lincoln City.
