During this holiday season, celebrate life by remembering loved ones who have died at the annual Light Up a Life celebrations hosted by Samaritan Hospice Services. This special evening of reflection, music and refreshments includes the reading of names and a presentation by the Angell Job Corps Color Guard honoring hospice patients who are veterans.
The celebration in Newport will unfold Friday, Nov. 11, at the Center for Health Education, 740 SW Ninth Street and in Lincoln City Friday, Nov. 18, at the Health Professions Education Center, 3043 NE 28th St. Both Light Up a Life celebrations begin at 6 p.m.
Not only is the celebration a meaningful way to honor loved ones, it is an opportunity to support Samaritan North Lincoln Hospice and Samaritan Pacific Hospice, which provide end-of-life care and support to patients and their families.
All are welcome to attend the celebration. Those who wish may make a donation in someone’s memory and dedicate a personalized memento to be placed on the memorial display. The memento will be available that evening to take home.
