The Siletz Fire Department is conducting a Community Preparedness Open House on Oct 20th from 3-7 pm at the Siletz Fire Station in Siletz.
The Siletz Valley Fire Department has been working with the City of Siletz and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians to create a more disaster-ready community. Their open house will focus on helping community members learn about local resources and better prepare themselves in the event of a natural disaster.
There will be tables staffed by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Emergency Management, Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon Lifeguard, CTSI Healthy Traditions, Siletz Valley Fire and Lincoln City Sporting Goods.
There will be sign-ups for CPR/First Aid classes and activities for kids too! (Rain or shine). They’ll also have a hot dog BBQ ($2 donation) with proceeds going to the Siletz Volunteer Firefighter’s “Food 4 Families” program.
For questions or to host a table, please contact Alison at 541-444-2043.
