MIT/Woods Hole Oceanographic researchers: Ocean acid levels rising off U.S. West Coast
Human activities are figuring more and more into the rising levels of ocean acidification off the West Coast of the U.S. And there are measurable signs that the acid levels are accelerating although at what rate is somewhat variable according to researchers with MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Either way it means that the food chain for fish is affected due to crustacean shells becoming weaker, which can affect their survival rate.
