Students and staff at Seashore Family Literacy are beginning the school year celebrating a new addition to their learning space. A new fence was installed in the adjacent parking lot area. The enclosed space is now a safe, outdoor play area for students. We offer our sincere thanks to the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund for their generous support and to our many volunteers who helped install the fence.
Seashore’s After School Program has an average daily attendance of 20 students grades K-12. This year, the program will begin on September 12th and run 3:00-6:00 throughout the school year. Staff and volunteer tutors assist students with their homework, offer enrichment activities and a healthy snack.
Students receive individualized tutoring on reading and math. Outdoors activities will include: art, horticulture, music, games, and STEM projects. For information and registration contact Seashore Family Literacy at 541-563-7323.
