UPDATE: Suspected driver Corbin Mead was spotted walking near the Toledo Food Fair Tuesday and was apprehended and arrested by Toledo Police following a brief foot chase. Due to injuries from a previous incident he was transported to PCH in Newport where he was treated and then was expected to be booked in to the Lincoln County jail.
1:35pm – After a Toledo police officer spotted a driver with a warrant out for his arrest at Highways 20 and 229, he took off after him up 229. But after following the fleeing maroon Toyota pickup and watching it recklessly crossing back and forth across both lanes of travel, the officer terminated the pursuit over concerns for other motorists that might become victims in a crash or the vehicle itself leaving the road and crashing. There is reportedly one other person in the Toyota besides the wanted driver, tentatively identified as Corbin Mead.
Authorities are still looking for it. There are numerous dirt roads in the area that lead up into the hills.
