NFK’s many programs have been supported by the generous contributions of our local friends and neighbors in Depoe Bay and Lincoln County, as well as grants from The Autzen Foundation; The Ford Family Foundation; M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust; Meyer Memorial Trust; City of Depoe Bay; City of Lincoln City; Wells Fargo; Trust Management Services, LLC; Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon; Share Our Strength; The Arby’s Foundation; LCSD 21st Century Community Learning Center O.C.E.A.N. Project; Oregon Coast Community College – SBDC; Samaritan Health Services; Spirit Mountain Community Fund; and Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund.
The organization was founded in 1999 as a grass-roots initiative by a group of concerned residents of Depoe Bay to provide a positive place for youth to go after school. Since then, Kids Zone has served over 400 registered youth. In 2015 alone, we served over 180 youth, with an average attendance of 35 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade each day.
