Lincoln County’s public libraries’ On your mark, get set . . . READ! summer reading programs bring the Reptileman and his fascinating creatures to the coast this week on Wednesday and Thursday, August 10 & 11. All children and families are invited to attend one of these free programs.
Richard Ritchey is the Reptileman. A huge favorite with kids in Lincoln County and all of Oregon, he brings his reptilian creatures to the libraries for a very up-close encounter. Ritchey is a herpetologist with unique insights, observations and a great sense of humor. His science based shows are always highly entertaining and educational. Some of the snakes and lizards he’ll bring with him are a King Cobra, rattlesnake, monitor lizard and, perhaps, an alligator snapping tortoise along with many more. His amazing creatures can be seen on his website: www.oregonreptileman.com.
