North Lincoln Sanitary says when they look at their total costs and the prescribed range of their profit margin on their operations the garbage, lawn waste and recycling operation won approval from the county commissioners this week to raise their rates slightly less than a half-percent starting in September.
It means that weekly residential trash pickup, in the unincorporated areas of the north county, will rise 4-cents a month – 89-cents a month for commercial service. A yard and a half yarder will go from $129 a month to $129.89, and a 32 roll cart will rise from $19.25 a month to $19.29 a month. The less than half-percent figure is consistent across the board – it’s an average across revenues for all services. Due to certain circumstances some services will rise or fall a bit but the average – across the board average – will be .425%.
