STORYTELLING STARTER WORKSHOP
What’s Your Story?
The Newport Public Library invites people to register for a free Storytelling Workshop on July 16th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Join the founders of Portland Story Theater, Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy, for a lively, interactive two-hour workshop on the contemporary art of personal storytelling. Their approach teaches participants to trust the story and speak extemporaneously from the heart. You’ll get a chance to learn about story structure, the power of presence, the differences between writing and telling, and how to find the story that you need to tell.
