Fall Creek: Motorcycle crash Hwy 34 at county line

Report of a motorcycle crash in the Fall Creek area 27 miles east of Waldport. Female rider reportedly suffered at least a broken arm. She went over a steep embankment after failing to negotiate a curve just inside Benton County Line.
3:47pm
Victim is 20 to 30 feet out and down over a steep embankment. A rope team is enroute to carry out the rescue.
3:50pm
The victim has been successfully lifted back up to the highway. Rope rescue team cancelled. Reach helicopter will soon land on the highway to then fly her to a trauma center.
4pm
Victim is loaded aboard REACH and whisked away to trauma center in Corvallis. Central Coast Fire, Pac West Ambulance, Benton County and Lincoln County Sheriff’s, Yachats and Seal Rock Fire personnel, Alsea Rural Fire Protection District and Oregon State Police handled it.
