A Walport woman who was walking around and literally painting the town was arrested and taken to jail Wednesday evening.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief report at Bill’s Chevron in Waldport. An employee there reported an adult female walked into the women’s restroom and spray painted graffiti in large letters on the wall. A short time later, additional callers reported the same female had spray painted graffiti on a traffic signal pole at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 34 and also on a vacant business building in the 100 Block of SW Highway 101 and an outline around a utilities cover, also in the downtown.
Sergeant Adam Shanks responded and found the female on SW Maple Street and detained her. She was identified as 35 year old Nicole Carlson of Waldport. An investigation revealed that Carson was the prime suspect.
Carlson was arrested on four counts of Criminal mischief II and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail. Her bail was set at $60,000.
