Eureka Cemetery Mausoleum Association recently launched a GoFundMe.com campaign to install lighting to illuminate their two Veteran’s Memorials on their cemetery grounds – hopefully by their Memorial Day celebration.
Unfortunately there was a glitch in the way the fund was set up at “Go Fund Me.” All donations made for this project have been returned to the donors. All donations have been refunded to donors. There was no “hanky-panky” with the donation process itself. Here’s how the Eureka Cemetery Board President Wayne Brunell described it:
“Donations now will be properly coded as a donation to a tax deductible charity account. I apologize for any inconvenience but this old man pressed the wrong button during the setup process. But all is well now. For those who originally donated to our campaign, please feel free to re-donate to our wonderful project to honor our veterans.”
Eureka Cemetery is asking all those who donated to please re-donate under the new Go Fund Me site by clicking here.
Over 800 veterans rest within the cemetery’s 22 acres of grounds and mausoleum. They honor all of them for their service. As a 501(c)(13) non-profit cemetery, all donations are tax deductible.
