Democratic Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders enjoyed a rather politically productive weekend on the West Coast and out in Hawaii where he swept Democratic caucus challenger Hillary Clinton by wide margins. He filled up the Moda Center in Portland on Friday, inadvertently finding himself having eye contact with a small bird that decided to momentarily sit on his podium while he gave his talk to over 11,000 supporters.
But aside from the bird (video of which you’ve probably seen many times) Sanders did continue to question Clinton’s mindset on what’s good for America and what changes are needed to release the country from the ever-tightening grip that our super-rich oligarchy has on our county’s economy and politics, which he said is producing financial stagnation for the our middle class and worsening the living conditions among the growing ranks of the country’s poor.
