Fish plant burns down, new plant to take its place in Warrenton
WARRENTON — Pacific Coast Seafood rises from its plant’s ashes. No other way to describe it.
There was much celebrating and jubilation as state Senator Betsy Johnson of Scappoose made the announcement to a Warrenton Town Hall meeting with the city commission present that she had convinced the state legislature to come up with $3 Million dollars to help Pacific Coast Seafood rebuild the plant that had burned down in a spectacular fire in June of 2013.
Senator Johnson announced the company’s intent to rebuild and be back in operation by spring of next year on the western banks of the Skipanon River.
