United States Coast Guard, Newport Fire, and Pacific West Ambulance dispatched to a report of a boat that has flipped about a quarter mile south of the jetty in Newport. Information says three subjects stuck under the boat. It is a receding tide; high tide was at 10:25am.
USCG has visual on three people and one dog on top of the vessel, which is still flipped over. They are reported to be near the south jetty in a patch of relatively shallow water.
USCG vessel has recovered all subjects (dog included) from the flipped vessel. Fire and medics directed to move to the Yaquina Bay coast guard station.
The subjects are being evaluated by medics. No immediate information about their condition at this time.
