Got a little on on the way??
Each month, the Family Birthing Center at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital offers an in-depth childbirth education class for women who are expecting.
The next session begins Thursday, March 17, at 6 p.m. in the hospital’s education conference room, with the following two classes in the series set for the following two Mondays, March 21 and March 28.
Other upcoming sessions are scheduled to begin on April 18, May 16 and June 13.
Taught by Stephanie Daughs, RN, the childbirth class helps expectant mothers prepare to meet the challenges of labor, delivery and postpartum care. Participants learn about breastfeeding, relaxation techniques, what to expect when arriving at the hospital, and more. In addition, the class offers the opportunity for women to discuss options for handling pain, learn newborn care, and address any fears.
The class is free for those who plan to deliver at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. For complete information and to register, call 541-996-7235.
