Mississippi State flag which has a Confederate flag insert has been removed from the State Capitol in Salem

Empty flag pole – To fly the Mississippi state flag when the state adopts a new one without the Confederate emblem
After months of waiting for Mississippi to adopt a new state flag that does not have a Confederate flag insert, the President of the Oregon State Senate and Speaker of the State House of Representatives ordered the flag removed from a circle of flags of all 50 states outside the State Capitol Building in Salem
The move comes after a man, sporting Confederate garb and a Confederate flag, murdered a number of Black parishioners in a Church in South Carolina.
