ABRACADABRA ART WORKSHOP
March 20th through March 25th
LINCOLN CITY- This year the Lincoln City Cultural Center will be offering the Abracadabra Art Workshop for kids of all ages as part of the Festivals of Illusions from March 20th through March 25th! This popular Festival takes place during Spring Break and is full of Magic shows, kid’s magic camps and magical art all week long.
Last year the Abracadabra Art Workshop was so well attended that we have decided to offer it all week long, Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 pm. It is a drop-in style workshop so
kids can come at anytime and stay as long as they want during this time period.
Kids of all ages are welcome, but we do ask that a parent accompanies kids age 8 or younger. Families are welcome to hang out together at the art workshop, which will be led by art educator, Krista Eddy and a slew of LCCC Volunteers.
There will be 4 different art activities each day, with some being guided, such as crayon resist painting, scratch art and beading; and some being “free art” zones, such as the awesome INVENTION station and the stamp table. A few of the art activities will result in the creation of a magic trick prop that art magicians can take home with them! The cost is $5 per day and all materials are included.
The workshop will be held in “Margaret’s Meeting Room” at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, 540 NE Hwy 101, Lincoln City.
This is the fifth annual Festival of Illusions and is sponsored by the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau. Advanced evening show tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for youth ages 5-18, and free for kids 4 and younger. Tickets are on sale through the center’s website: www.lincolncity-culturalcenter.org (click “buy tickets”) or by calling the center at 541 994 9994.
