The Board of Education of Oregon Coast Community College is pleased to sponsor a workshop on Wednesday, March 9, for elected officials who supervise an administrator. And, thanks to support from OCCC, the program will be offered free of charge.
This workshop follows a similar event in October that focused on goal-setting, and like the first it will be led by Judy Clark, a highly-respected presenter on government human resources topics. Clark’s firm, HR Answers, Inc., is based in Tigard. The training is set for Wednesday, March 9th, 6pm-9pm at the Newport Campus of Oregon Coast Community College, 400 SE College Way in Newport.
District Manager Performance Evaluation
This session is designed to address that most difficult of questions, “How does an organization effectively evaluate the performance of its senior executive?” The session covers such subjects as:
* Why conduct a District Manager evaluation;
* Who should do the evaluation;
* Who should contribute information to the evaluation and
how do you get them to offer insights;
* What documentation should be kept and by whom;
* How can the “boss” be accurately evaluated; and,
* How should performance be rewarded.
Designed for Board members and Commissioners, this workshop will be lively, informative, and will describe some things that do and don’t work. Questions and real-life situations are encouraged in this conversational workshop. Participants will receive a packet of information designed to help them implement an effective system of District Manager Evaluation in their own organizations.
The cost of the workshop has been waived. However, pre-registration is requested. Please confirm your attendance by emailing email@example.com.
