High Wind Warning extended until midnight
The High Wind Warning has been extended until midnight tonight. Southwest wind 25 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph near beaches and headlands. In coastal communities, southwest wind 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph. Winds will continue through this evening as a secondary area of winds moves through. These winds will likely cause travel difficulties on roads such as Highway 101 along the coast, as well as for high profile vehicles such as trucks and vehicles pulling trailers. The winds may also cause tree damage and local power disruptions.
