Physical evidence gathering at Malheur is done – but the overall investigation is leading to additional charges
Federal investigators have pretty much wrapped up their physical investigation at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge following 41 days of illegal occupation of the refuge by anti-government extremists. But the evidence collected and the interviews conducted have produced additional evidence that is likely to lead to additional charges against those in custody and could implicate others, according to federal court documents. Complicating matters further, there appears to be connections between those at the Malheur incident and the one nearly two years ago near Las Vegas. And so the plot thickens.
