During a news conference this morning, Lincoln County District Attorney Michelle Branam told reporters that now convicted murderer Jillian McCabe planned to kill her son before she took him to the Yaquina Bay Bridge and threw him 130 feet to his death in November of 2014. McCabe was sentenced Monday to life in prison with a chance at parole in 25 years.
Jillian McCabe reportedly suffered from a number of mental disorders throughout her life and was diagnosed schizophrenic which may have explained her statement to police that she heard voices ordering her to throw her son, London, over the railing. Shortly after doing that she called 9-1-1 to report she had just thrown her autistic son off the bridge.
