The Oregonian is reporting that the IRS and a Lincoln City-based employment services firm, CICS, and possibly others, were victims of a tax fraud ring that was based on the East Coast. The story first broke over a year ago. But the U.S. Attorney’s Office says, with investigative support from CICS to the FBI and IRS, the fraud ring was discovered to be larger than initially believed and involved more victims than first reported.
