A suspected intruder on the campus of Waldport High prompted a Code Red lockdown of all school buildings. The female intruder followed students to the school and is now wandering around the campus.
Suspect has been put in handcuffs by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy. She is refusing to get into the back of the patrol vehicle. An additional deputy and a Newport Police officer are responding to assist.
With the assistance of the other two officers, the female has been placed in custody.
After law enforcement’s search of the grounds the school has been cleared of any threat. Original sighting was that of a woman who was talking gibberish. Under the influence of drugs suspected. Kids are back to their studies and the Code Red has been lifted. Everything’s fine.
