A Seal Rock 12-inch water main was punctured late this afternoon by a contractor working on a Seal Rock water project between Huckleberry and the ODOT maintenance station just south of Ona Beach. Water pressure was up and down for a while in some areas but Seal Rock Water General Manager Adam Denlinger told News Lincoln County that no one should lose water service during the repairs. Pressure may vary, but no loss of service.
Denlinger said the repair will take most of the evening so motorists along 101 should be aware and use caution while driving on 101 just north of Seal Rock.
Work crews have located and isolated the damaged pipe. They’re in the final stages of the repair and normal water service is expected to be restored to normal levels very soon. Denlinger says there are no concerns about water quality associated with the damaged pipe.
