FREE WEEKLY 101 TECH-HELP
Would you like to learn how to find information on the internet? How to find people on Facebook? Are you frustrated with your laptop? The Newport 60+ Activity Center is be hosting free tech-help sessions Monday through Friday, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. The schedule may change depending on the availability of the instructor.
The simple, fun sessions will be led by Cameron Davis, the 60+ center’s youth intern. Cameron is patient, caring and will be understanding. She is a junior at Newport High School. Cameron attends several clubs, including Debate, Junior Optimist club, Club Med, International club and soon to be president of Interact, which works closely with Rotary. Cameron also keeps herself busy with many other activities, such as a lot of volunteering, school plays, crafting, sewing, strength training, babysitting and much more. Cameron will be providing general office support along with lending a hand in current technology through her internship program.
You could learn how to:
Use the internet to find all sorts of interesting information, YouTube videos, etc.
Set up an email account and check email
Set up and use a Facebook account
And much more!
This tech help session is open-lab. Bring your laptop, iPad, smart phone etc., or use one of the six (6) desktop computers that are available in the lab.
