A Depoe Bay man who was badly upset about his girlfriend ending their relationship lost control, grabbed a shotgun and as his girlfriend tried to pull out of the driveway at the Fogarty Creek R/V parking spot, fired a blast into the car’s grill.
Arriving sheriff’s deputies requested and quickly secured a search warrant for the vacation trailer and soon found all the evidence to piece together what had happened. They detained Nicholas Bordelon, 32 of Depoe Bay as they wrapped up their investigation.
Deputies say when the victim announced the end of her relationship with Bordelon he became very angry and started throwing her clothing and other personal property out onto the lawn. The woman fled to her car in an attempt to leave. As she was pulling out of the R/V parking spot, Bordelon came outside with a shotgun and fired a round into the car’s grill. The woman was not hurt.
Deputies arrested Bordelon and took him to the Lincoln County jail where he was booked for unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another human being, menacing, recklessly endangering another human being, coercion and possession of meth. Bordelon’s bail was set at $195,000.
