Oregon Governor Kate Brown Thursday strongly criticized the FBI and the federal government in general for allowing armed occupiers to take over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and holding it for going on three weeks while allowing the occupiers to wander at will between the refuge and Burns and other communities, all armed to the teeth which is very unsettling for local residents.
Governor Brown said the cost of coping with the Bundy occupation has cost the state treasury a half million dollars and is still rising. She said Oregon will be billing Washington D.C. for those costs.
