On January 5th Malia Loraine Davis, 21, of Lincoln City was arrested, at an Otis residence by Lincoln City Police Detectives and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies. Davis was indicted by a Lincoln County Grand Jury on December 31st for her involvement in the murder of Luke McCann, which occurred in Lincoln City on October 29th. Charges included in the Grand Jury indictment are Murder, Manslaughter in the First Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Theft in the First Degree.
Antone Dean Bernal, (23), of Lincoln City was arrested by Lincoln City Police for his involvement in the McCann murder and remains in custody at the Lincoln County Jail.
Bernal and Davis were also both indicted by the Grand Jury for their involvement in an unrelated shooting incident that occurred in Lincoln County on last August 27th. Charges handed down by the Grand Jury in this matter included Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Recklessly Endangering Another Person/s.
Davis was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a set bail of $2.5 Million and with an arraignment scheduled for January 6th.
