Newport Fire and Pacific West Ambulance responding to a vehicle versus pedestrian in Newport. Female in her 40s was struck by a blue Jeep at the intersection of SW 4th and SW Surf. Possible broken leg. She’s in the roadway, and the caller to 9-1-1 says they cannot safely move her out of the road.
Newport Police on scene saying that there is significant breakage to the woman’s leg. Fire crews requesting REACH air ambulance be put on standby.
