Oregon Community Colleges are expecting a surge in enrollments right after the regular school year ends in late May-early-June. Fifty bucks a semester appears to be the going rate for those who have a 2.5 grade point average or above. And just because someone comes from a low income family it’s still more than possible they can enroll for next to nothing. There’s an army of advisors at each community college to help students navigate the way to begin and, more importantly, FINISH college – at least get an AA and a shot at a full college degree.
