Tuesday: **UPDATE** INMATE BACK IN CUSTODY
RILEY WAS APPREHENDED BY STATE POLICE AT APPROXIMATELY 12:40 A.M. THIS MORNING. HE WAS FOUND IN AN ABONDONED HOUSE NEAR CHESIRE IN LANE COUNTY AND ARRESTED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
An inmate walked away today from a Mill Creek Correctional Facility (MCCF) work crew off Highway 20 near Philomath.
ODF staff discovered inmate Travis Riley missing from a work crew at approximately 2:45 p.m., Monday, December 28. Riley is a 32-year-old Caucasian male, 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. Riley was last seen wearing blue jeans with the word “inmate” and the DOC logo stenciled on the knee in orange, and a blue t-shirt with the word “inmate” and the DOC logo stenciled in orange on the front and back.
Riley entered DOC custody last May on two counts of burglary in the first degree, two counts of felon in possession of a weapon, and one count of possession of methamphetamine out of Lane County. His earliest release date is January 29, 2019.
