U.S. 30 from Astoria-East is closed in both directions at milepost 38 east of Rainier because of a landslide. The slide is in the same location where a landslide closed the road last week – also during heavy rains. There are local detours for autos. However, large trucks will need to use the Lewis and Clark Bridge between Rainier and Longview, and I-5 to get around the closure.
U.S. 101 and OR 6 is closed in Tillamook due to flooding caused by the Wilson River overflowing on to the highways. A local detour is available to get around the closures. There are reports of numerous areas of high water throughout Northwest Oregon. Travelers should drive with caution and slow down in these areas.
