This week’s Oregon Leadership Summit was a rare glimpse into the supplies of political gunpowder – both wet and dry. Business leaders dared state government to raise taxes while state officials dared the business community to sink the state with second rate public education, a lousy transportation system and an economic imbalance – rich cities vs poor rurals.
And it appears to be coming to a head as we slowly move toward next November’s election.
