One lane of U.S.101 is expected to be open at around noon today near Wheeler to two way traffic controlled by flaggers.
The road has been closed for nearly six days since heavy rains caused extensive damage to the road at milesposts 47 and 48. However, the road will close again on Wednesday at around 8 a.m. to allow for a contractor to re-pave the two areas. Once the paving is completed on Wednesday, one lane of traffic will reopen with 24-7 flagging at Wheeler. Travelers should expect delays.
