The driver of this truck has some ‘splainin’ to do as to how his semi became partially jack-knifed in front of Toledo’s Pig Feathers Brewpub and Restaurant.
It appears the driver was relying on a some dashboard electronics that all too often puts large trucks in very awkward positions in Toledo – the “occasionally inaccurate” GPS device.
The driver, thinking he could make a left turn and go up Main Street, missed the turn (of course) and got his right side set of wheels off the pavement and into a ditch. Actually it didn’t take tow trucks that long to get the truck back onto the pavement. But again, you can’t just drive and rely exclusively on a GPS device to get you where you want to go. It takes some looking out the window to prove to yourself, where the GPS is pointing is somewhere really you want to go. ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE AREA!!
Live and learn.
