A reminder from ODOT:
TRAVEL ADVISORY for Northwest corner of state. Multiple landslides and areas of high water have a number of state highways closed this morning. Some of the hardest hit areas are in Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook Counties where relentless rain and winds pounded the area all night.
Travelers need to be very careful on these state highways, and should consider delaying their travel until at least the daylight hours when visibility is better. ODOT will have geo/hydro experts out to assess the damage, and extra crews to help with the cleanup.
The following roads are closed due to landslides or high standing water:
* U.S. 101, mileposts 47-55 near Wheeler
* U.S. 101 milepost 64 in Tillamook
* OR 103 north of the intersection with U.S. 26 in Clatsop County OR 47 mileposts 2-11 south of Clatskanie OR 202 near Birkenfeld
* U.S. 30 mileposts 38-44 east of Ranier
* OR 6 in Tillamook
* OR 99W in McMinnville
There will likely be other problem areas identified as we go through the morning. Travelers should consider delaying travel on these roads, or travel very carefully.
