A missing Siletz autistic teen has been found safe and sound at the Toledo Library. Several sources told News Lincoln County that the boy walked into the library this morning. Toledo residents and city officials, including police, were on the lookout for him because he has friends in Toledo.
A concerted search for Danny was launched early yesterday throughout the Siletz area after the boy left his foster parent’s home off Old River Road in Siletz. He was later spotted by a citizen walking with friends toward Gaither Road, the main drag through Siletz.
There was great concern for Danny’s safety in that Danny, being autistic, is very attracted to the Siletz River. Neighbors say that that they were very worried that current flood conditions along the Siletz may have attracted his attention and that he might have accidentally slipped in to it.
But again, Danny is okay.
