December 5 Angels Ball Chinook Winds Casino Resort
Each year, Angels Anonymous, a local non-profit charitable organization, presents “The Fantasy of Trees” and “The Song of the Angels” Holiday Ball, the group’s largest annual fundraiser, at Chinook Winds Casino Resort. This will be the seventeenth year for the event which will be held December 2 through December 5.
Wonderful Christmas trees, decorated and sponsored by local businesses and individuals who not only spend hours decorating the trees but several hundred dollars in decorations on each tree as well, will be on display at this year’s Festival of Trees.
The public is invited to the free viewing of the trees beginning Wednesday, December 2 through Friday, December 4 from noon to 8pm, and Saturday, December 5, from 10am to 3pm. Bring the whole family to view this wonderland of the Christmas Season featuring exceptional trees decorated beyond imagination. There is no admission fee to the viewing of the trees.
The Angels Ball takes place on Saturday, December 5. It will be a night to dress up in your festive best for an elegant evening on the town. This year Blackbird, a Beatles inspired band, will be returning to provide the evenings entertainment. The auction of the Christmas Trees, special items and wreaths will take place during the Angels Ball along with numerous drawings.
Tickets, priced at $75, include passed hors d’ oeuvres, Seafood, Steak, Baked Potato and Dessert Stations, live entertainment, dancing and the auction of the Christmas Trees. They can be purchased at the Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce located at 4039 NW Logan Road (call 541-994-3070). It’s a great idea for your office party with the proceeds going to charity! Seating is limited for this event which is not only considered by many as the most enjoyable event of the Holiday Season, but one that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas – providing means to help those who are in need. Hours of the Ball are 5:30pm until 11:30pm.
Angels Anonymous, a 501C-3 non-profit foundation, provides immediate and basic assistance to those in need in the greater north Lincoln County area. The program helps those who have exhausted every other avenue of assistance to meet immediate and basic short-term needs. It may be the young mother left to fend for herself with no money to feed her children, an elderly man who has had his heat turned off in the dead of winter, or a young man desperately in need of employment, who receives assistance. It’s anonymous and a one-time only helping hand extended to residents of north Lincoln County. During the first three quarters of 2015 Angels Anonymous dispersed over $31,000 providing funds for 46 families to meet immediate and basic needs.
