Lincoln County Public Works has cleared what may be only the first of a series of mudslides this season on Immonen Road, about a mile east of Highway 101. It’s the “usual spots,” at mileposts 1.0 and 1.3.
Lincoln County Public Works got out there and cleared a slide last evening but with all the heavy rain expected to hit the area over the next four days they say there’s a distinct possibility it’ll slide again. It just goes with the territory since the cost of a permanent fix is astronomical. It’s the inconvenience the folks pay up that road for living in such a beautiful area. However there is a logging road bypass that can be put into service if things deteriorate on Immonen to where clean ups take too long.
