Golf Course developer Mike Keiser, who had his eye on some breach-front Oregon State Park land for a new upscale golf course, but then backed out, will be using some of his earnest money to clean up some land that was bulldozed before he had permission to proceed. Keiser had also sunk a well and made other improvements before final permission was even considered.
With the failure of the deal, another element is now up in the air – whether Keiser’s purchase of valuable oceanview land at Whale Cove, south of Depoe Bay, as compensation for “greening over” the Bandon parkland, will remain in the hands of the state.
