Two motor homes were destroyed in a fire at 649 North Deerlane in Otis. The fire was believed caused by an exploding generator. The fire melted overhead power lines that ignited another motor home which began burning. Surrounding trees and brush also burst into flame.
A power pole was also set ablaze. Power to the immediate area was lost. After about an hour of fighting the flames, firefighters managed to put the fire out
Pacific Power is working to restore power.
